It's probably best to temper any optimism about a live action adaptation of a Shonen Jump manga with plenty of caution, but the teaser for Rurouni Kenshi looks pretty nice! Check out a first look of the movie, due to hit Japanese theaters in August 2012.

Wow looks nice.

Oh and A live-action film adaptation for Another will be directed by Takeshi Furusawa and produced by Kadokawa Pictures will be released in Japanese theaters in summer 2012.

That all looks promising.

This might have been posted already, but if not take a look at this.

Warner Bros. have today announced that they have acquired the rights to develop a live-action film adaptation of Tite Kubo’s divisive supernatural action manga, Bleach, in a move that has shocked and confused fans.

The film will be produced by Warner Bros. who have already announced that Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) will write the script and Peter Segal (Anger Management) will produce and direct. Other people attached to the project include Masi Oka (Heroes) and Jason Hoffs from Viz Productions.

It’s safe to say that like all news of a live-action adaptation of anime, that Bleach fans will most likely boycott the project before hearing any more details on it or even seeing a clip from the film. But with Warner Bros. track record for anime adaptations, all of which are pretty much considered dead projects (Death Note, Akira, Ninja Scroll) there may not be much for them to worry about. That is unless Warner Bros. pulls something from the playbook of Kubo himself and actually make this thing.

According to TV Tokyo’s programming schedule, Studio Pierrot’s ｢Bleach｣ anime series will end its televised run on March 27th. A new anime series may still be possible in the future. We’ll keep you posted.

The movie would be better if it was made in Japan by Japanese people. But this will be made in America by Caucasians. Anime characters are Asian not Caucasian.

All anime movies are failures...

Have you seen how tall Bleach characters are? Most Asians aren't that tall... And also there's no ginger Asians.

Still I wouldn't be expecting much from this...Bleach is not something American companies should fuck around with, better leave it alone, it'll be a fail anyways.

Lol bro, go do some research. Japanese man paint their hair. (at least the young ones do) Also if you are talking about real life stuff, Ichigo's hair is not normal. All spiky and sht. Also since when are Gingers named Ichigo as in Japanese. I might as well find you the proof so you can see what I'm talking about. You can tell the difference when the character is Asian and a Western.

I think you're looking too far into it. They might be Japanese and in most cases fit the descriptive role as far as physical characteristics go. But I wouldn't say all of them fit the role of what a Japanese person should look like.. Hell in Bleach alone, Sado looks more like Pando, even though he's of Hispanic descent, and Orihime has orange hair and round eyes. Just one example of many I can think of.

To tell you the truth it is hard to figure out where the character originally are from, until i saw the video i didn't understand anything at all, but after taking a look at it it kind of makes sense. In the end it doesn't really matter. Anime is awesome and it doesn't matter where the characters are from. I just wanted to show what it thought might be the truth.

Uh Duh remember those 3 months of him trying to get the final you know what to fight you know who and his hair grew...if he had painted it you could've seen his natural color at his hair's roots, just saying..

BTW rene I saw the whole video, nicely made, I understand anime and japanese culture better now. XD true, all anime characters are japanese, if you don't believe so, watch the video and you'll understand.

I think he means with that he never painted his hair. Also if you see flashbacks of him and his mom hes like 5-6 years old? and he already had orange hair.
