Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
honestly I'm not an expert by any means but it was pretty obvious uruguay would suck without suarez. now I don't think the punishment he got is fair, I saw lots of old football players say that they'd rather get bitten than get kicked out of a game and for some reason the punishment for that is a lot less. I do think suarez should be punished but compared to other things that happen in football I think they punished him too hard

Like i said, the post. He hit the freaking post with a decisive penalty kick. That's just so unlucky, could have gone in too. Was a good penalty.
James Rodriguez, great goal but got so overrated by my commentator just for that.

He was punished so hard because it's his third time biting and because it's not a humane thing to do. Someone said recently players get taught to tackle and sometimes it goes wrong. Players don't get taught to bite other players. He's an animal.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
What do you guys think about Hollands penalty kick? Valid or not Valid? IMO it wasn't valid. It was quite obvious Robben was looking for a penalty ever since Mexico made the first goal. Also Costa Rica made it to the next stage.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
Valid because the Mexicon player hit his foot instead of the ball. Even if it wasn't valid, in the first half we deserved a penalty, so this was the ref making up for it. The Mexican who put in that ridiculous tackle in the first half even broke his leg. I still don't understand how the ref didn't give a penalty for that.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
Hoping they will win too, although i wont mind if Belgium wins. I like both countries. My prediction for tonight is 1-2 for USA due to Belgium not being so great as i thought they would be in the group stage.
Also, that Germany free kick.... Please ban this nonsense from football..

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
You should be proud man. They gave everything they had and like you said, luck wasn't on USA's side. Reaching the 2nd round of this world cup and going out against a team like Belgium that finally kinda connected isn't something to be down about, this is huge for football in America. They were responsible for the elimination of Portugal, a country where football is really big, they survived a group with Germany and Portugal, they did great.
The feeling that they could have had more sucks though. Well there is always the orange train you can jump on Many countries who get eliminated tend to like us.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
I'm proud of them no doubt about it. I just wish that things could have been better that's all. I have my hopes up though. I know that in the next 4 years Football is going to grow even stronger here in the US and who knows. We might even become one of the greatest Football nations in the world. Also I'm jumping on the Costa Rica's train lol. I don't know why but I'm kind of cheering for them. Also Colombia seems like another team I should cheer for. But if Holland makes it to the finals I'll cheer for you guys.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
Haha thanks. I understand your reason for Costa Rica and Colombia. I also like to cheer for the small teams when my teams are out.
I bet football will grow majorly in the next 4 years in America. With all these old stars leaving for the MLS nowadays, it's bound to become popular. I wish the ones who chose Qatar would chose America instead though. And the fact that alot of kids play football instead of the other popular sports nowadays is an important factor too. Eventually i think America will take football over from europe, although that can take years, decades, centuries still.
Also, Obama had a little phone call with Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey. Also kinda shows how football lives in America these days. And shows that Obama is a football fan too

Seems like it's going to be Germany VS Brazil. Both of them advanced to semis.

And they are playing eachother in the semis :p Will probably either be Germany -Argentina or Germany - Holland. Or if the FIFA get their way, Brazil - Argentina.

TIM KRUL, fucking baas!!!!!!!!
What a thrill. Can't believe we let it get to a penalty shootout. RVP missed such an easy chance, Sneijder hitting the bar and the post, a blocked ball on the goalline that i still can't explain why it didn't go in.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
So it's going to be Argentina VS Holland and Germany VS Brazil. Also Neymar is out of the world cup with a fracture to one of his vertebrate. It's going to be a hard match for Brazil now that they are missing one of their main stars.

They arent just missing Neymar, but also Thiago Silva due to him getting a retarded yellow card against Colombia.

Now that we know who is going to be playing against who. Who do you guys think will be in the finals? IMO it's probably going to be Germany VS Holland. Also maybe Brazil can make it in. But I'm in doubt on that one. I don't think Argentina will make it in. I just don't see it like that for some reason.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!
FIFA wants Brazil - Argentina so don't rule that out. I also think/hope it's gonna be Holland in the first place, and probably Germany. I want Brazil though. Holland - Germany is never a pretty thing to see.

Thankfully there's the world cup now, but that's 1 cool offseason against 3 terrible offseasons, unless you count euro.
Who do you think will win the world cup now?
