FIFA World Cup 2014!

Who is going to be watching it?

I may watch it for the first time ever. It looks like a lot of fun, and everyone is hyped about it.

I will watch a few games.

First match was terrible. Expected so much more from Brazil. First goal wasn't a good shot, a good try and lucky to even get to the goal. GK should have saved it. Penalty call was false. Was barely any contact, should have never been given. GK should have saved the penalty too as he had both hands on the ball. 3rd was a good shot and a good try, but again should have been saved. Croatia's goal was avoidable too, could have easily ended in a boring 0-0.

Also fucking Modric cut his hair. Worst thing of the whole match

Edit: almost forgot to say Croatia's disallowed goal was bullshit too. Nothing happened, should have been the 2-2.

I'm going to try to watch all of the games, I doubt I will... Anyway, Bato from tomorrows games who do you think will win? Also where are Vin and Ovyda? They should be here so we can discuss the world cup.

I replied a little late about saying what i expect from the game, but i expected us to lose and possibly be humiliated by Spain. All i can say now is:

Yes, I'm working on my thesis which has to be done before the WC is over so I don't really have the time.

Also you're forgetting Rakitić was fouled at last goal. Croatia should've won.

Grats on winning Holland! I feel bad for my team Spain but that is how the game is. You win some and you lose some. Also I was kind of chocked that Chile got 3 goals against Australia I kind of expected Australia to win. This world cup is really hard to tell who will win the games. I'm also disliking all of the bad calls the referees are calling. For an example look at Mexico's game.

Damn I missed the game today but I watched the highlights when I got home, Holland did so well, their goals were amazing. I can't even imagine what it must've been like to be in that stadium watching the games live.

Seriously? Chile have a pretty good team with some great players this year and Australia have pretty much no one. Their most known player is Cahill who has never really reached the top in europe. I was suprised Australia put up such a great fight. There was more in it for them than they got.

The refs are terrible sadly. The Japanese guy let Brazil win for his own safety.

Argentina's game is tomorrow, looking forward to it. Also Japan lost today. I was expecting more from them but sadly they lost.

Yeah i expected more too. They started great, but didn't keep up. Ivory Coast has better players than i expected though. Both didn't play as good as i hoped they would. Drogba showed his class.

It was a good game, we played well but i think we can still make it out of groups :I

Most likely it will be Italy and England going to the 2nd round. I am curious to see how Costa Rica will do in the next matches. I liked the way they played against Uruguay.

Yeah, Costa Rica is a good team. As for today's matches. Argentina's game was kind of boring or was it only me? Messi did good, but he could have done better IMO. Also France completely annihilated Honduras and Ecuador lost to the swedes.

Ecuador lost to switzerland. Didn't expect much more from Honduras. All they could do against France was kick them and try to injure. It was disgusting to see.
Messi did terrible actually. Sure he scored, finally, but it wasn't like watching Messi. I was expecting a better Argentina, but it's just the first match.

Lol there was an article in a dutch paper saying the goal-technology thing confused everyone during the game France played (2nd goal ). what the actual fuck, it's really not that hard to understand what was shown on the screen....

It actually only confused our commentator. And the ref a little bit, but the goal was given rather fast.

Also about todays matches, Germany - Portugal, Pepe is a fucking moron. Germany destroyed them but Portugal was just terrible. Didn't see Ozil at all too. Iran - Nigeria almost finished, seems like this is gonna be the first 0-0 in this world cup. Iran i didn't expect anything from, but Nigeria really disappointed me.

Pepe acting stupid is nothing new lol. Actually I'm quite happy about that red card. Now that the USA won their first game, when they play against Portugal it will be easier for us. GO USA!. As for Nigeria VS Iran. They actually ended in a tie. Nothing much to see from that game. Tomorrow Brazil plays against Mexico. I don't think Mexico will be much of a threat against them. But unexpected things could happen, so who knows.

Also I saw how the new FIFA tech works and it's actually quite interesting. They have a bunch of cameras on both sides of the stadium. When there's a goal that is questionable, the live feed is send to some processing computer and a second later if the goal is valid the ref gets the OK on a device hes carrying with him.

Actually without Pepe it will be harder for USA. He is an idiot and he constantly disappoints his team.
