more internet problems

hi im back with more internet problems. I can't download ANYTHING using chrome, youtube videos don't load, steam can't connect. It's the same on my laptop too, at first I thought it was just chrome being a bitch but that doesn't seem to be it as IE doesn't work either (i can't download firefox). Some sites also don't load at all. There are  no virusses on my laptop (it's brand new, the only program installed is chrome) so I'm guessing it has something to do with my windows settings (these are shared between w8 devices apparantly) I tried turning off the firewall but it did not seem to work

If you haven't done anything for the internet to stop working its your router. I don't know if you have done a reset on it, but if you haven't I recommend you do. Also Kisser was having something similar a while back and the problem got resolved by it's self.

Also you might want to call the ISP as well but I'm sure you already did that. Another thing you can try is resetting all of the IP addresses on all your machines. You might have some IP configuration problems.

I kicked everyone off the network and it started working again, couple ofhours later it was gone again though =\

Yeah call your ISP, they can help you. But my problem was viruses on the living room desktop, so I'd do a scan on other devices too, not only your computer. That is unless it's happening on all devices, if it's just yours then I don't know what could be wrong.

Wait you said "it was gone again". You mean the problem came back or is it gone for good?

the internet was gone again, it seems to have fixed itself now though
