Custom computer ftw. It's not hard to build even if you don't know anything. A good sales rep at any computer store, like in my area we have Frys, can help you build one.

Get Asus, what suri said, they work great, for years, and never fail me. I got Asus products never had problems with them, Motherboards, LCD etc. They also come with a great return policy, if you ever get a defected product, I mean Ever!. In the end you get to choose what you want, but i recommend Asus for sure.

The reason why I'm asking is because the technician has had my laptop for like 2 weeks and he hasn't returned it yet, so, if it can't be repaired, then I'll have to get a new one.

my uncle had a dell laptop after a week it fell and a piece came off.
but the laptop was fine suddenly after a month the laptop stopped working.

YE caz ur uncle did something stupid probably, i have dell dropped so many times, viruses had it since i was what like 10 im 14 turning to 15 in october and look it still works perfectly

I had a dell to, I trew it out of my window and suddenly it stopped working!!!
And I live on the 9th Floor... That's just unaccaptable.

What are you talking about lol? Hp is not that bad, my father has an HP laptop, never had any problems with it. I just trust ASUS more, that's why i recommended it above anything else.
