Fairy Tail anime coming to an end.

The Fairy Tail anime is going to be disbanded soon. Its noted on MAL as 175 eps maximum. This message was given:

''ANN confirmed that Kodansha's TV Magazine announced on Friday that the Fairy Tail anime's television broadcast run will end on March 30. The adaptation of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail fantasy adventure manga premiered on Japan's TV Tokyo station in October 2009.

The April issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is revealing on Monday that the Driland anime will begin a new run in Fairy Tail's current Saturday 10:30 a.m. timeslot on April 6.

However, Mashima posted a statement to fans on his official Twitter feed on Saturday:

Until the time comes, I cannot say something I've always wanted to say, even on Twitter. Please be patient and wait until the time comes for me to announce some good news.
Crunchyroll has been streaming the Fairy Tail series as it airs in Japan. Funimation released the anime's fourth part on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in North America in February 2012.

Del Rey published 12 volumes of the original manga in North America, and Kodansha resumed publishing the manga with the 13th volume in 2011. The 38th volume of the manga will include an original anime DVD in a special-edition bundle in Japan on June 17.

The original manga's story began with a teenaged girl named Lucy Heartfilia who aims to join the world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. During a daring rescue, Lucy encounters Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel, a quirky Fairy Tail member and a teenaged practitioner of the ancient Dragon Slayer magic. Lucy is eventually welcomed into the Fairy Tail guild as she, Natsu, and other members go on various quests together.

I'm glad its ending. Think about it, if it didn't, it would be like Naruto or Bleach, completely ruined by fillers. Let the manga go on for some years, then the anime will come back, I'm sure of it.
Plus read what Mashima said, there's good news, he just can't reveal them yet.

Just do like One Piece does.. Pretty much after evry arc they had a small filler of 2-4 eps. And i dont understand.. They had such a huge filler now and still only 30 chapters behind the latest manga chapter..

And i aint waiting so long for it, im gonna read the manga now and when i read the manga and know what happened im not interested in the anime anymore.

Then don't read it and wait possibly 1+ years for it to come back.

Is just going into hiatus.... Not the end of the world. lol

I don't see it as a tragic as well, there's lots of other anime that I need to watch anyway. But it is sad indeed, because the best moments are right now...

Well I just hope they get to Natsu vs Sting....

But as a shounen fan like me this is 1 of the best animes. I'd drop any anime to watch an anime like Fairy Tail. (not including the other cool shounens)

Well it's everyone's decision. If FT will say that they are going to come back like after a year, then I won't read manga.

I don't know why, but FT has really changed to me. All MC's are boring and some even annoying. Would rather have Mystogan/Jellal, Laxus, Mirajane, Gajeel, Juvia, Gildarts and Erza as MC's.

You are becoming more and more different from most people when we are talking about anime. You are kinda always in minority about something. Lots of people say that they prefer FT side chars over FT mc's.

I find it funny how Lucy is either hate or love. It's always like this "Yes, Lucy got beaten up!" or "Nooo, Lucy! Minerva you bitch!" lol.

It all has to do with how the manga is written and how much they adapt into an episode. 2-3 FT chapters go into one episode. And since its a tournament arc there's even less to put in the manga. less story, reactions, its all fighting. I'm thinking its going to go like Gintama does. When Gintama catches up to the manga they just take hiatus for a year. I'm pretty sure it will be back.

But they are in such a good story now. I cant wait that long, therefore i will read the manga.

@Ovyda, im someone who likes pretty much all characters in a good anime. Look at Naruto, how many chars were there that i dont like.

Starting the FT manga will be the jump start I need to begin so many other mangas I have on hold.

I'm reading 9 different manga now, it all started with the big three. I'd like to read more though, I do enjoy manga.

Fairy Tail, D. Gray-Man and Ao no Exorcist for me. Am caught up on Bleach, Kingdom of Zombie, Deadman Wonderland and Btooom (which is on hiatus or something).

I dont rly like reading unless its a series that stopped without an actual ending. Like all the above except for Kingdom of Zombie.

Oh man Hunter x Hunter is a horrible manga... don't.
And hehe you reminded me I have to read Deadman Wonderland.....

Btw you should add Ao No Exorcist and Highscool of the Dead to that list. And you should also try Green Blood, it's pretty good. And Bato recommended Kingdom of Zombie you should try it too, I liked it.

If is such a horrible manga then why is it on the top 20 best selling manga of all time?

I don't mean horrible as in the manga itself but the art. The art is bad, admit it. Also this is the guy who made Yu Yu Hakusho, that contributes to his sales.
