The Walking Dead ( Spoilers )

Just finished the second season and caught up with the show. Season 3 will have 16 episodes and premier this fall.

Based on one of the most successful and popular comic books of all time, written by Robert Kirkman, AMC’s The Walking Dead captures the ongoing human drama following a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Teachers, Strike Back), who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home.

The first season of The Walking Dead won the Saturn Award for Best Television Presentation and was nominated for Best Actor on Television (Andrew Licoln), Best Actress on Television (Sarah Wayne Calllies), Best Guest Starring Role on Television (Steven Yeun), and Best Supporting Actress on Television (Laurie Holden). It also received a Director’s Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series' — Night (Frank Darabont), a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Series — Drama, and a Television Critics Association Award nomination for Outstanding New Program of the Year. In addition, The Walking Dead recently won the Emmy award for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special; and was nominated for Emmys in Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series and Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series.

You guys should really check it out if you have the time. It's a really good show.

One of the best shows, been watching it since first episode. But not enough episodes per season, waiting half a year for 6 episodes sucks.

Well, actually. Only the first season had 6 episodes. season 2 had 13 and season 3 will have 16. I wait even longer to watch them,. I wait till the last episode of the season is out then I watch the entire season back to back,.

Yeah first it was 6, then you had to wait almost a year then it was 6 or 7 then wait another half a year and then 6 or 7 again. Now wait till October again.

Yeah first 6 then 11 month wait. Then they showed 7 and a 1 month break and then showed the other 6.

They stop showing in Spring and start again in fall. Probably will start again in October like the other 2 seasons. It is a long wait. Show only goes for like 5 months then a 7 month wait. No so bad. I wait even longer for True Blood.

Season 1 you can watch on netflix. Season 2 I used blendseries because they give like 3 pages of alternate links sometimes.

I've never been one to compare a real life show with an anime. But if you want to then here it goes. High School of the Dead was shit compared to this. Originally, I watched the whole first season of The Walking Dead and all of High School of the Dead back to back. High School of The Dead was too much ecchi and highschool girls that I didn't really care about. Less killings and the inability to do anything remotely interesting on High School of the Dead was a deal breaker for me. Then again, most anime you like, I don't, so this doesn't surprise me in the least. Also, since it has more episodes and each are 45 mins, The Walking Dead has some great, detailed characters with interesting back stories.

I gotta agree with you, ecchi killed HotD. I've started watching season 2 of the walking dead now, taking it slow though Smile

I never understood why Japanese like their echi stuff, but meh, I watch all types of anime. HOD manga is better than the anime, but the anime is good imo.

I watched a little bit of 1st ep to see how it is and the quality is pretty nice.
