Plus, some people don't have parents that throw money at them all day.

I'm only 23 and I built up my Octopus up this whole time. He's level 21 and finally doing blood suck or w/e it is. Maybe at 30 when I catch my yetti I can give it to you.

If you fight monsters in the Kinko Grove you can get an Octopus card drop. I forget from which monster specifically. Then you tame the octopus in the pirate ship on trainee island. You'll know which one I'm talking about. He's a mini boss in one of the beginning rooms.

The Yettis I can't tame till level 28 at least. I got the card from a random drop too.
