Dont be dumb dude, get better anti spy ware, I have been using lime wire for years now and you dont get viruses like you may think, my advast tells me if there is a problem right away, I have over 8 gigs of music and not 1 virus on my comp from them, and I used limewire.

but you can always use itunes, but you want free but don't want to use any of the free sites.

I have no antivirus or firewall since I reformatted my pc and I'm still doing fine.
Limewire virusses are easy to recognize because they tend to take the exact same name you typed in.
so you always need to type without capital letters and stuff and then it will be easy to recognize.

I do have a malware scanner ( malwarebytes, i'd highly recommend you it because a lot of virus scanners or anti virusses can't see a lot of virusses and this one is updated like every day and can almost see ANYTHING )

if I think something is not right I scan it with that.
no viruses so far
