You should have backed them up on an external hard drive first if you could have.

bleh windows 8 only good for tablets and smartphones

I have all the songs on an external harddrive but something went wrong while saving the library file.

It's the exact same as windows 7 but a tad bit faster, how is that only good for tablets and smartphones?

IMO windows 8 is not that great. Its the next windows vista, I will wait until windows 9 comes out.

Windows 8 was built for tablets in mind, is not that great for the regular user like me. I rather have something I'm used to than have to learn everything from the very beginning.

Also in windows 8 you actually have to do more to do what you can do in windows 7 with fewer clicks. There is another problem that not many know about. Windows 8 has many compatibility problems right now. If i were to upgrade I would have waited at least six months to a year.

As for the speed, yes it might be faster, but if you have a really good PC you wont notice the difference. This is coming from experience, I tested the system when it was first release as beta to the public, and to be frank I didn't like it.

Agree with Mv Windows 8 is kinda bad, plus it doesn't have the Start button WTF, I hate that.

I still don't like it. I also saw some tests results on Windows 8 on comparison to Windows 7, the few advantages it has don't even make a difference, and Windows 7 surpasses Windows 8 in some features. I see no point in going from Windows 7 to 8.
